Kimbra Streams Catchy New Single ‘Miracle’

Ahead of the 15th August release of her highly anticipated new album, The Golden Echo, Kimbra has unveiled a brand new single, the catchy, Motown influenced dance tune Miracle.

Fans already got a taste of what is sure to be an eclectic album with the hyperactive lead single 90s Music, the video for which has already clocked over 200,000 views. That was later followed up with the release of another two tracks, the soulful funk ballad Love In High Places and the grooving Nobody But You.

The Kiwi singer has also shared some behind-the-scenes videos of the lavish photo shoot for The Golden Echo, which features a glimpse of the song Madhouse, and also gives us a look at the making of the trippy video for 90s Music.

In a recent Music Feeds interview, Kimbra said she went into making this second record on the back of her hugely successful duet with Gotye, Somebody I Used To Know, with the intention of making a statement.

“I felt that it instilled a good sense of determination in me and a good sense of ambition, because I’d had this great opportunity,” she explained. “I felt, ‘OK, this is my time to make a statement about the kind of musician I am.’ To me, that’s a positive thing, not a negative.”

The Golden Echo was produced by Rich Costey (Foster the People, Interpol, Muse), while Silverchair‘s Daniel Johns is said to have acted as a songwriting partner for many songs on the record. It is now available for pre-order via iTunes.
