King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard Share Two-Hour Tour Doco Feat. “Plenty Of Rare Gems”

We all know King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard never do things by halves. The prolific Melbournites — who’ve pumped out eight studio albums over the course of four years with another four on the cards for 2017 — have just released a new tour video.

But unlike other artists, such as Peking Duk or Flume, whose tour vids last for a handful of minutes, King Gizz have dropped a feature-length effort into our laps, slapping up an I-shit-you-not two-hour long doco of their recent exploits whilst on the road OS over the past two years.

The clip, which contains footage from live shows and general shenanigans from their last 7 tours, is dubbed BOOTLEG HOLIDAY FROM HELL and was created by Jason Galea, who’s uploaded a teaser for the clip on Instagram, promising fans: “It’s a long one but there’s plenty of rare gold gems in there.”

There’s also plenty of footage from a house where the band have been jamming and writing, as well as a studio where they’ve been recording, so expect to hear some unreleased beats, melodies and parts of songs.

So kick back with some popcorn and tuck in to a two hour chronicle of two years in the lives of the J Award-nominated and The Age Music Victoria Award-nominated band, or catch them headlining their annual Gizzfest romp this November and December.
