KISS Add New Show To Australian Tour

Congratulations, Melbourne. Australia’s live music capital will officially be rock and rolling all night, twice, with hard rock legends KISS announcing back-to-back shows at Rod Laver Arena. The painted ones have added a second Melbourne date to their monster Australian tour, after the city’s KISS Army snapped up the majority of tickets to the first show.

The veteran band’s second and final Melbourne date for 2015 will take place on Friday, 9th October, giving regional and interstate fans the chance to travel to the Victorian capital and stay overnight, as well as giving hardcore fans a second chance to bust out the face paint.

The extra show also means another 60 KISS-teria sufferers will be able to get their mits on the band’s highly-prized VIP Meet & Greet Packages, which sold out in the first few minutes at all shows around the country.

Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer are spruiking their 40th anniversary tour as one of the most spectacular rock shows of 2015, packing an extravaganza of a stage production dubbed ‘The Spider’, which is moved by 38 computer controlled winches, features 220 automated lights, weighs a hefty 43,000 kgs, incorporates 900 pieces of pyrotechnics and is powered by 400,000 watts of sound.

“I’ve loved Australia since the very first time I visited,” singer/Starchild Paul Stanley said of the Gods of Thunder’s impending return to our shores. “It is one of the greatest secrets on earth and probably better to keep it that way. The food, wine and women are all extraordinary and everyone has always welcomed me and made me feel like it is home.”

KISS last toured Australia on a co-headline tour with Mötley Crüe back in 2013. Tickets to their freshly stamped Melbourne show go on sale from 10am next Friday, 10th April.
