Korn Request Fans’ Bullying Stories For New Music Video

Korn are seeking submissions from fans to help them make their latest music video for new single Hater. The single comes off the World Tour Edition of the band’s latest album, The Paradigm Shift, and the band want fans’ stories to help them bring the new single to life as a music video.

The band have taken to Facebook to ask fans for clips of themselves speaking about a time when they were a victim of bullying, abuse, or hatred, what happened, and how being subjected to it affected them. The band say they will use some of the submissions in their forthcoming video.

Readers can check out Korn’s full appeal below. The band have listed a series of questions for participants to answer in their videos as well as several conditions. The submissions should be short, have relatively good sound quality, eschew any names, and not feature any logos except Korn’s.

“I don’t understand what’s going on with society today where it’s to the point where kids are getting bullied to the point they blow their fucking heads off or people hate on people because they have stuff that they don’t have,” frontman Jonathan Davis told Loudwire of the new single. “Somebody needs to go out and take a belt and whip those kid’s asses like they used to back in the day.”

“Something fucking happened, something switched and everyone thought it was funny and okay, so I just wanted to do… a self-empowering kind of song,” he added. Any readers who wish to participate in the Hater video can do so by sending their clip to kornhatervideo@gmail.com.
