Korn’s Jonathan Davis Announces New Solo Album

UPDATE: Korn’s Jonathan Davis Reveals Debut Solo Album ‘Black Labyrinth’, Shares New Music

ORIGINAL STORY: 2018’s shaping up to be a big year for Korn fans. Not only are the nu-metal titans heading down under to headline Download Australia in March, frontman Jonathan Davis has just revealed plans to release a new solo album next year to boot!

Taking to Facebook Live, Davis revealed that his forthcoming solo record has been 10 years in the making. He originally planned to release the LP with his solo band Jonathan Davis And The Simply Fucking Amazings, but following the passing of guitarist Shane Gibson (also of Korn) in 2014, he decided to drop the album as a solo release instead.

“I’m finishing my record finally” Davis announced during the livestream. “It’s been… I started it in 2008, so I guess it’ll be 10 years of work.

“It’s the J.D.S.F.A. [Jonathan Davis and the Simply Fucking Amazings] record, but J.D.S.F.A. is no longer. Unfortunately, since Shane’s passed, that band’s done and it can’t be recreated. So this is J.D. right now…

“I’m really excited,” he continued. “I’ve been working on these songs for 10 years, and it’s turned out amazing. So there’ll be a record coming out next year. I just shot videos yesterday for a couple of songs, and the tour will be next year.”

Hmmm… could we see JD visit Australia twice in 2018?
