Lamb Announce First Australian Tour In Five Years

After a five year absence, Manchester electronic duo Lamb are make their long-awaited return to Australia for a five-date national tour this summer. The British outfit will make their way to stages in Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in February 2015.

The tour announcement comes as Lamb, made up of Lou Rhodes and Andy Barlow, deliver their sixth album, Backspace Unwind, which is out today. The album features 10 new tracks, including the latest single We Fall in Love.

Lamb dropped their self-titled genre-bending debut album in 1996, mesmerising fans with their personal, emotionally charged songs, intertwined with drum ‘n’ bass beats and peppered with jazz, classical, blues, techno and hip hop influences.

That album’s single Górecki, inspired by the works of composer Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, has become one of the most recognised anthems in electronic music, attracting numerous remixes, covers, and featuring on movie soundtracks as diverse as Moulin Rouge and I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.

Lamb last toured Australia in 2011 to headline the Playground Weekender Festival on the Hawkesbury River, as well as selling out numerous sideshows along the way. They’ve also previously played 2003’s iconic Livid Festival and headlined Sydney’s much-loved Peats Ridge Festival in 2009.

Snap up these tickets quick, they’re sure to sell fast. Backspace Unwind is out now.
