Lamb Of God Working On New Album?

Heavy metal favourites Lamb Of God may be working on material for a new album, no doubt music to the ears of fans following frontman Randy Blythe‘s arrest on manslaughter charges in the Czech Republic, and subsequent not guilty verdict.

The update from guitarist Mark Morton comes via the official Lamb Of God Facebook page, reading “…..so…..yea…..back to writing RIFFS. – Mark”, leading fans to speculate on the possibility of a new album. It would be the eighth studio effort from the Virginians, following 2012’s Resolution.

Vocalist and lyricist Blythe was arrested and charged with manslaughter in the Czech Republic in June 2012, following a 2010 incident in which fan Daniel Mosek made his way on stage. According to the prosecution, Blythe pushed Nosek off stage, with the 19-year-old dying in hospital a month later, allegedly from injuries sustained during the incident. Blythe was found not guilty of the charges.

Sounds like Lamb Of God are putting the tragic incident behind them and getting back to what they do best. Fingers crossed for an album announcement soon, but in the meantime, the band will be playing Bloodstock Festival in the UK on 10th August.
