With its doors set to close for good in the coming weeks, Sydney’s Lansdowne Hotel is set to go out with a bang thanks to its newly-announced Last Call farewell festival, which will take place in just over a week’s time.
The free Last Call festival will feature sets from 14 acts who have been regulars at the Lansdowne Hotel over the years, including the likes of Money For Rope, Juice, The Lockhearts and Darker Half.
Aside from the tunes, the event is also promising a BBQ, giveaways, and shenanigans with the night’s hostess, Miss Burley Chassis — the ex-bar staff member and drag extraordinaire.
The Lansdowne Hotel is reportedly set to close up for good on 29th September.
The venue’s previous owners, Oscars Group, pushed live music out of the spotlight at the venue last year, but the hotel’s new owners, Arc Education Group, have promised to honour the pub’s live music history, with the building poised to become the new music campus for the Academy of Music and Performing Arts (AMPA).
The Lansdowne Hotel’s Last Call festival will run from noon until late on Saturday, 12th September. Catch the event’s full lineup, below.
