The Last Shadow Puppets Are Back And Here’s Their First Song In 7 Years, ‘Bad Habits’

The Last Shadow Puppets are back baby. The English supergroup featuring Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner and The Rascals’ Miles Kane together with producer/Simian Mobile Disco dude James Ford have returned with their first new song in almost eight bloody years.

Dubbed Bad Habits, the busy, up-tempo rock number is sporting a bit of an international-man-of-mystery style vibe, and even comes packing a music video featuring grainy lo-fi footage of the duo performing live in a room, along with some eerie old school editing tricks.

The single also features plenty of cinematic flourishes from string wizard Owen Pallett, who let slip late last year that he’d been working on TLSP’s second album, which he also reckoned had already crossed the line into “classic status”.

Turner and Kane previously announced that the long-awaited follow-up to their debut LP, The Age of the Understatement, would be released sometime this year.

The Puppets have also recently been announced on the mammoth lineup for Coachella 2016 in April alongside a reunited Guns N’ Roses, so it’s likely we can expect the disc to drop sooner rather than later.
