Lee Lin Chin Channels Her Inner Lara Bingle In Lockout Law Video

SBS presenter and national treasure Lee Lin Chin has channelled her inner-Lara Bingle circa 2006 asking that same infamous question in a very different context.

“Where the bloody hell are you,” asks Chin in a promo video for The Feed‘s upcoming forum on Sydney’s lockout laws, giving a nod to Bingle’s Tourism Australia ad.

She stands on an empty King Cross strip at night asking where are the partygoers are, a shot that would’ve been impossible to get without people flooding the camera some two years ago.

SBS will air a forum looking at both sides of the lockout laws next Tuesday at 7.30pm on SBS 2. It’s not confirmed yet whether or not Chin will be part of it but we can only hope so.

The whole advertisement is a direct parody of the Bingle-featuring 2006 ad and is well worth a look even if just for a giggle (because it’s better than crying). You can also watch the original Tourism Australia ad below.

If you’re keen on having your say about the lockout laws you can join the thousands of people set to march on The Star Casino this weekend as part of Reclaim The Streets.

Where the bloody hell are you? We're locking 50 people in a pub for the ultimate debate on Australia’s lockout laws. Don’t miss The Feed Forum: Lockout Laws, Tuesday 7.30pm, SBS 2.#TheFeedSBS
