Legion Festival Announce Melbourne Showgrounds as Venue Should Event Go Ahead

Legion Festival has followed up yesterday’s and the previous day’s line up additions by today announcing the venue for the Melbourne leg of the festival – The Melbourne Showgrounds.

Taking to Facebook, organisers wrote that to “keep the festival scene alive in Melbourne, Australia, this is your chance. Please support this event in your city by pledging now”, and directing people to the festival’s pozible campaign.

Speaking of the pozible campaign, it’s not exactly looking promising as with only 17 days to go the festival has only raised $174,000 of their ambitions $3 million target. Sad as it is to say, it seems the organisers caveat of “should the event proceed” may turn out to be prophetic.

However, as headliners Devil Driver were only announced this week, and with potentially more bands to come there is still hope. Although you know what’s better than hope? Pledging some cash.
