Less Than Jake Return To Fat Wreck Chords For New Album – Due Out 2013

Less Than Jake have returned to the fold, the fat fold that is, with the seasoned band rejoining flagship punk label, Fat Wreck Chords, to release what will be the follow-up to LTJ’s 7th studio album, 2008s GNV FLA, later this year.

In 2012 Fat Wreck Chords put out a reissue of Less Than Jake’s 2000 record Borders & Boundaries and a compilation, titled Greetings and Salutations, comprised of previous LTJ EPs. As LTJ’s founding member Vinnie Fiorello explained, via Fat’s official site, last year’s re-releases led to the ska punk act returning to Fat:

“When we first talked to (Fat) Mike about repackaging our limited EP’s into Greetings & Salutations, it was a casual conversation about our new songs and direction. Then we started to write songs for a new record. Working with Fat feels right and with that said we are happy to be headed into the studio in May knowing that Fat will be handling the next record…”

Although Vinnie mentions the band will enter the studio in May there is no official release date for LTJ’s 8th studio album, at this stage.
