Liam Gallagher In Battle Of Lawsuits Over Music Journo “Love Child”

Beady Eye and ex-Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher is taking legal action against The New York Post, who yesterday published a piece claiming that the 40-year-old fathered a love child with a music journalist who interviewed him in 2010.

The paper claims that the woman, who has been identified by the New York Daily News as journo Liza Ghorbani, has launched a $3 million paternity suit against the rock star in Manhattan Family Court. Both parties have tried to keep the case quiet, with a hearing that took place last Friday listed under Anonymous v. Anonymous.

But Gallagher, who has been married to All Saints singer Nicole Appleton since 2008, has hit back, with his spokesperson saying, “Liam Gallagher’s lawyers are taking legal action against New York Post – further to that we don’t comment on gossip such as this.”

Ghorbani interviewed Gallagher for her New York Times column A Night Out With… back in 2010, writing about her evening out with the frontman in a New York City bar. The pair reportedly started an affair following this, which continued until a few months after the birth of Ghorbani’s daughter Emma in January of this year.

If she is in fact Gallagher’s child, this will be his fourth – he has a 15-year-old daughter, Molly, with songwriter Lisa Moorish, a 13-year-old son, Lennon, with ex-wife Patsy Kensit and a 12-year-old son, Gene, with Appleton.
