Limp Bizkit Announce October 2013 Australian Tour Dates

After first mentioning it some 8 months ago, Limp Bizkit have finally elaborated on their plans for an Australian tour in 2013, confirming a run of headlining dates for next month via their Facebook page.

The band still keep a healthy connection to their fan base via Facebook, and needless to say Australian Limp Bizkit listeners responded well to the news that the band will now be returning for a tour in just over six weeks time, given the band were here as part of Soundwave 2012 not too long ago.

However, despite the tour dates being announced on the official Limp Bizkit Facebook page, fans are struggling to find details regarding tickets for the announced shows. Links to ticket outlets were provided along with the dates and venues (below) but there are no listings for Limp Bizkit pages on the outlets’ sites, and no on-sale date information was delivered with the rest of the info.

Add to this the fact that the dates have yet to be added to the tour sections of either Limp Bizkit’s official site or their Facebook page and you’ve got to wonder if someone’s jumped the gun here. Regardless, an announcement this is, so we’ll just have to take them on their word.

Presuming tickets eventually do go on sale, the band will be a lot closer to releasing their struggle of a new album Stampede of the Disco Elephants than last time they were in town. The release date of the album has been rainchecked several times already, with the latest date being suggested for early 2014. This will be the band’s first release and Australian tour as artists on the Cash Money Records roster.

Recently Limp Bizkit penned a deal with the Lil Wayne-owned company and celebrated the decision by making music together.

According to the post, tickets will sell fast – once you can find out where and when to buy them – so fans may be advised to latch onto their sense of urgency. Full tour dates, venues and supposed ticket vendors are below. More info as soon as we get it.

UPDATE: Triple M have confirmed the Limp Bizkit tour, announcing tickets will go on sale at 9am local time next Friday, 20th September. All dates and venues remain unchanged. The tour is a Soundwave Touring event.
