After announcing recently that he would be leaving Girls, Christopher Owens has come good on his promise to keep writing and recording music. We have for you today the first taste of what we can expect from Owens and his new found solo road.
Since July, Owens has been hard at work crafting Lysandre. His solo debut is expected to hit shelves January 15, 2013. According to Moshroom, the release is quite the loaded one. Named after a girl he met while performing at a festival in France, the whole album from start to finish follows a linear narrative, ironically about Girls’ first tour back in 2008. Owen regards the album as “a coming of age story, a road trip story, a love story”.
Further adding “Lysandre could easily be mistaken as an album about a love affair. But it’s much more than that.”
You’ll have to pop over to the Official Website to hear the first track, but let me assure you, it’s well worth the commitment.
