Listen: Mastodon/Feist ‘Black Tongue’ and ‘A Commotion’ Covers For Record Store Day

Canadian indie-rocker Leslie Feist and metal giants Mastodon‘s recent collaboration cover tracks have now been put up online. The two artists took on the challenge to put a new spin on other’s songs, only to bring us one of the most unique releases for this Record Store Day. Feist takes on Black Tongue from Mastodon’s 2011 album The Hunter, while Mastodon do a great cover of her song A Commotion taken from Metals.

The release will take form in a split 7 inch single (see above for the cover) and will be released on this weekend (21st April). There will be limited physical copies. However, there will be some for digital release, so get saving for this, amongst many other sensational releases this Record Store Day.
