Listen: New Loney, Dear Track From New Album ‘Hall Music’

In a country well known for its meaningful, intelligent but somewhat dark pop music, Loney, Dear is at the forefront of meaningful, intelligent but somewhat dark pop music. One of Sweden’s most absorbing singer-songwriters is on the verge of releasing a new album, the follow-up to 2009’s acclaimed Dear John.

TheLineOfBestFit reports that Loney, Dear, otherwise known as Jonkoping native Emil Svanangen, is preparing for the release of his sixth album Hall Music, out on October 3 (Europe) via Something In Construction. Now, you can hear a sample from the new LP, What Have I Become. Listen below. The track features additional vocals from Svanangen’s friend and collaborator, Malin Ståhlberg.

And below that you can be reminded of arguably the unassuming Swede’s best song from arguably his best album, Loney, Noir, released through Sub Pop back in 2007. Here’s hoping a trip to Australia is not too far away.
