Listen: Previously Unheard Jimi Hendrix Track ‘Earth Blues’

Written by Marc Zanotti on February 19, 2013

People, Hell And Angels, the upcoming 12-track album comprised of previously unheard material from Jimi Hendrix, will soon be unleashed on Tuesday, 5th March. With only a couple weeks until its release, a never-before-heard version of Earth Blues has been revealed to a global audience.

The track list for People, Hell And Angels is made up of songs that Hendrix was recording for
First Rays of the New Rising Sun, the unfinished follow-up to 1968’s Electric Ladyland, which turned out to be Hendrix’s third and final studio album.

Last November engineer Eddie Kramer, who worked on all 3 of Hendrix’s original studio albums, gave a little sneak preview into People, Hell And Angels and an insight as to what it was like working with Hendrix. Kramer characterised Hendrix as a tireless musician who was also in the studio working on his craft.
