Listen: R.E.M., ‘Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage: 1982–2011’ Album Stream

R.E.M. are almost ready to release their final 40-song retrospective album, but radio streaming website NPR have made the full two discs of the album available for streaming just over a week prior to its official release. The album, called R.E.M., Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage, 1982 – 2011, will collect for the first time ever songs from the band’s entire back catalogue (15 albums), including the pioneering American band’s years on both the IRS label (1982 to 1987) and Warner Bros. Records (1988 to 2011).

In addition to liner notes written by band members, the album also features three new songs that R.E.M. finished after they completed their last album. Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage: 1982–2011 will be released on the 15th of November.
