LISTEN: Tincture – ‘Similar Circles’

23-year-old Brisbanite Luke Dalton operates under the moniker Tincture and is one of the Australian EDM scene’s brightest up-and-comers, recently unveiling an acclaimed collaboration with Hazel Brown and now he’s returned with Similar Circles, his most progressive effort yet.

The latest cut to be taken from his forthcoming EP, Tryst, Similar Circles sources influence from some of the producer’s favourite acts like Shelter Point and The Knife, while retaining Dalton’s ability to create lush, varied synth textures, moody atmospheres, and sharp, jagged percussion.

The combination of live vocals and the unusual mix of instrumental layers not only makes Similar Circles Dalton’s most unique track to date, it indicates a progression in the young gun’s production style and offers fans a chance to see his eclectic palette and varied abilities in the studio.
