Lollapalooza 2012: Leaked Line-up Fake – @LollaLeaks ‘Fucking With Us’

Written by Brayden Darke on February 21, 2012

It comes as no suprise to hear that the recent Twitter account @LollaLeaks, which has spent the past few weeks leaking the Lollapalooza 2012 line-up, has revealed to be “fucking with us” the whole time. The user behind the leaks has posted on tumblr saying it was just an “experiment” to see if “one ‘anonymous’ person could throw a random line-up on the internet and get people to believe it?”.

The most obvious mistake on the line-up was Sonic Youth, who look to be on a hiatus at the moment, as well as the fact that Thurston Moore will be playing a date in Copenhagen at that time as well.

Despite this, Perry Farrell has been on edge and took to Twitter to vent his anger, calling the leaker “a red tick,” “a fraud” and likely an individual with “a small penis.” Farrell also tweeted that the line-up “has not been finalized.”

Which means there may be some good guesses in the fake line-up so far.

You can read the tumblr post here.
