So It Looks Like Gwyneth Paltrow Is A Guest On The New Coldplay Album

Some of the best records have come from divorced couples taking to the mic together. Fleetwood Mac’s Tusk is a product of a divorce as is ABBA’s The Winner Take It All and now we can potentially add Chris Martin and Gwenyth Paltrow to that list.

The Wall Street Journal has reported that Paltrow will feature on Coldplay‘s forthcoming coming album A Head Full Of Dreams on a track titled Everglow. According to WSJ, it’s “a ballad about a relationship’s enduring spark,” which also features their children and friends voices as part of a choir.

What makes things even more awkward is that Martin’s current girlfriend ,actress Annabelle Wallis also features on a track on the album.

The whole record looks set to be full of guests. Beyoncé will feature on two tracks as will her daughter Blue Ivy.

“We recorded Blue Ivy Carter in New York when her mom Beyoncé was in the studio,” Martin said.

Blue Ivy is basically a seasoned pro now as she’s already been featured on Beyoncé’s track Blue.

Unfortunately there is also some bad news. The album features a song called Hymn For The Weekend which has been described by Martin himself basically as a club banger.

“I was listening to Flo Rida or something, and I thought, it’s such a shame that Coldplay could never have one of those late-night club songs, like Turn Down for What,” he said.

The band had some sense though and made him change the lyric “drinks on me” to “drink from me” so that it still had some Coldplay to it. Also, Beyoncé is on it which is bound to make it better.

A Head Full Of Dreams is set to be released on 4th December. It will also feature Tove Lo, Noel Gallagher and Merry Clayton.
