Looks Like Mac Miller Is Plotting An Australian Tour For Early 2017

UPDATE: Mac Miller has now announced a pair of 2017 Australian tour dates.

ORIGINAL STORY: Mac Miller looks set to return to our shores and repair the hearts he broke last year.

After cancelling all of his Aussie shows and festival slots at the end of 2015 for health reasons, the Pittsburgh MC has told triple J he’s planning a new run of dates for early next year.

“Of course! I am in debt to Australia, I gotta come back,” he told the J’s.

“Doing Big Day Out [2014] was probably my favourite summer of my life. So I’m very, very excited to come back out there. It’ll probably be early next year, honestly. But I had so much fun every single place we went on Big Day Out, I’m just really excited to come back.”

The rapper has also revealed more details about his collab-studded new studio album The Divine Feminine, which drops this Friday, 16th September.

As well as the Anderson.Paak team-up on his latest single Dang!, Miller also hooked up for the new disc with the great soul machine Cee-Lo Green, Bilal, Kendrick Lamar, Ty Dolla Sign and – easily the biggest surprise of them all – Ariana Grande, whom he reckons sang “beautifully as always”.

“A lot of the people came to the studio and we crafted the song, which is my favourite way to create,” he said. “I’m someone who’s really big on conversation so before I work with anyone.”
