Triple j Hack host Tom Tilley was forced to pull out of his regular hosting gig this afternoon after a day of motocross seemingly went horribly wrong.
The presenter, who also doubles as a bassist for Client Liaison, shared an Instagram story to his Facebook attempting to explain how he ended up with, “a broken thumb, probable broken foot and a few other somewhat inconvenient injuries.”
The video doesn’t actually show the accident but it does show the aftermath and Tilley looks a little worse for wear as he’s carried from the motocross track.
“Sadly I won’t be hosting Hack this afternoon… or tomorrow. This Instastory video kinda explains why,” he wrote, attached to the video of the day’s events.
“I flipped a motoX bike mid-air going over a tabletop.”
We’re hoping that broken thumb doesn’t hinder his bass playing too much because he’s got a few touring commitments with Client Liaison over the next few months.
