Maylene & The Sons Of Disaster Give Update On Dallas Taylor Following Horror ATV Crash

Much of the heavy music community has been waiting with bated breath for an update on former Underoath singer and current Maylene & The Sons Of Disaster frontman Dallas Taylor. Taking to socials, Maylene have informed fans that Taylor is on the mend, but there’s a still a long way to go.

“Dallas is improving,” the band say in a statement posted to Facebook, before explaining that a wire inserted into his jaw after the accident has since been removed. They say the tracheotomy inserted to allowing breathing has been reduced in size as they prepare to remove it all together, meaning he’s ready to breath on his own.

While still being a fall risk, the singer is now doing physical rehab twice a day and by all accounts, appears to be in “good spirits”. The post also thanks fans and supports for all the love and donations that have flooded in since the accident.

Earlier this month it was reported that Taylor was involved in a serious all-terrain vehicle accident, apparently with the ATV landing on top of him. At the time, Taylor’s brother Rhett commented that things were “not looking very good”, while former Underoath member Corey Steger also gave fans an update on Taylor’s condition.

Thoughts and good wishes are welcome, but if you’re keen to go a bit further, you can donate to a GoFundMe set up to support Taylor here. Catch Maylene & The Sons Of Disaster’s full Facebook statement, below.
