Megastick Fanfare announce debut Album

Island vibing experimental pop outfit and Music Feeds favourites Megastick Fanfare have finally announced they they will be releasing their debut album in Autumn 2011 (still no exact date), self produced by the band with help from Frey Lindsay and mixed with Jonathan Boulet.

A dense mixture of both acoustic and electronic instrumentation, making use of a wide range of sonic toys, the band fusing intricate sound manipulation with layered percussion and tribal vocals, Megastick have been a leading force in Sydney, showing that accessibility and complexity need not be mutually exclusive, marrying pop sensibilities with a forward think approach to forging new paths through modern music.

Keeping themselves busy this last year, playing Come Together and Peats Ridge Festival, as well as being named triple j Unearthed Feature Artists, going on to win the Parklife Unearthed competition as well as playing alongside acts such as The Middle East, Seekae, Leader Cheetah, Cloud Control and High Places, if you’re not acquainted with the band now is the time.
