The architect behind such iconic tracks as Bring Me Some Water and Like The Way I Do will perform a set at the Byron Bay festival on Sunday, 27th March 2016, alongside UB40 and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

A statement from the Bluesfest organisers reads: “We are thrilled to be welcoming the iconic rocker, singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge for her This Is M.E. Australian Tour, including her long-awaited Bluesfest debut.”

Etheridge will also be performing three other headlining sideshow dates during her visit to Australia, in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

She joins fellow new addition Kendrick Lamar on the Bluesfest 2016 lineup, alongside previously announced acts The National, City And Colour, Tom Jones and tonnes more.

The award-winning five-day Bluesfest event is held annually over the Easter long weekend at the Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm, just north of Byron Bay.

Organiser Peter Nobel previously promised “THE best artists across a slew of genres” and it looks like he’s delivered.
