Meredith Music Festival 2013 Lineup Begins, Ticket Ballot Opening Soon

UPDATE: The full Meredith 2013 lineup is here!

To celebrate the opening of Meredith Music Festival 2013 ticketing ballots, organisers have lifted the lid on the festival by just a crack to expose two features sure to get everyone in the ticket buying mood. Though we don’t expect the full line-up to come for a couple of weeks, we are now extra sure that Chic! featuring Nile Rodgers will be performing at the event, and now we know the Melvins will be too.

For the 23rd event in the festival’s history, organisers have taken a particular shining to the number. Come 23:23 (11:23pm) on Monday, 12th August the ticket ballots will officially be opened, and will remain so for 23 days. Much like in other years, Aunty Meredith will keep things as simple as possible, throwing a link into the mix and a few prompts to follow before those tickets are yours.

Of course, once purchased, you will be one step closer to heading down to the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre where once again, the legendary, and super relevant right now Nile Rodgers will be performing, much like he did at Golden Plains Sixxx. Sludge mad dogs The Melvins will also be bringing their spin on the whole stoner doom vibe for the festival, where they will be unleashing a cornucopia of tunage, including tracks from their Kurt Cobain co-produced album Houdini.

You can again expect such unique features as just one stage and BYO, as well as the self-explanatory No Dickhead policy from MMF. 2013 will also see 500 less tickets sold than last time, retaining that intimate vibe and ensuring the need to be quick with that ballot registration. There will be two different ballots, one drawn 15th August, and then one on 22nd August. Following that, tickets will be available through all the usual suspects.
