UPDATE: Decapitated have now released a statement regarding the rape and kidnapping accusations levelled against them.

ORIGINAL STORY: Polish death metal band Decapitated have been accused of gang-raping a woman in the bathroom of their tour bus following a recent show, after they were previously arrested and charged on suspicion of kidnapping this week.

As The Spokesman-Review reports, a woman has told a US court that all four members of the band raped her after their show in Spokane, Washington on 31st August.

The band, who had been touring the US with Australian band Thy Art Is Murder, allegedly invited the woman and her friend to have drinks in their tour bus outside the venue.

One of the women “described being excited to be on the bus, and then one of the band members began grabbing her breasts”, according to court documents. “He was later identified as the drummer, Michal Lysejko.”

The same woman was supposedly “uncomfortable and said the band members began speaking to each other in Polish… She described the ‘vibe’ in the bus changed, and one of the members began looking at them like they were prey”.

The woman said she signalled to her friend that they needed to leave, but she was allegedly followed by singer Rafal Piotrowski when she tried to use the bathroom.

The woman told police that she “attempted to push Piotrowski away but he grabbed her arm and spun her around to where she was facing the sink and mirror in the bathroom”, according to court documents.

“She saw in the mirror and out of the corner of her eye each of the band members taking turns raping her.”

The woman’s friend said she witnessed the band members rape the other woman, while she was allegedly pushed to the ground after refusing to give Piotrowski oral sex.

The alleged rape victim was supposedly helped by band member Waclaw Kieltyka to put her clothes back on, before she was carried out of the bus. She was taken to hospital after she called 911.

Detectives say they saw “significant bruising to her upper arms consistent with being restrained” and “small abrasions to her knuckles that were scabbed over”.

The members of Decapitated have been interviewed by police, with Kieltyka reportedly telling detectives that he saw both Piotrowski and Wiecek engage in sex acts with the woman. Other members of the band requested translators.

The band are being held in Los Angeles County Jail, and are facing extradition to Spokane, which their attorney says they won’t fight.

“We have witnesses that can testify to the fact that the accuser came to visit the band of her own free will and left on good terms,” he said.

“Decapitated plan to fully fight the allegations that are brought against them, and we are fully confident that the other side of this story will be heard.”
