Metallica’s James Hetfield Suffers Serious Fall On Stage, Keeps Playing Anyway

Metallica frontman James Hetfield has bounced back after suffering a serious fall during the band’s concert at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam on Monday night.

Fan-shot footage from the show (below, via Blabbermouth) shows Hetfield falling into a hole in the stage during the song ‘Now That We’re Dead’. Crew members can be seen rushing to his aid, before Hetfield returns to his feet and keeps performing, although clearly in some pain.

Metallica are yet to release a statement about the fall, or any injuries Hetfield may have sustained.

Metallica are currently touring in Europe as part of their ‘WorldWired’ tour, which is yet to lock in any Australian dates.

Former Soundwave Festival promoter AJ Maddah recently suggested that Metallica could be preparing to tour Australia in 2018, after he previously teased that the band would return down under in 2017.
