Midnight Juggernauts Team Up With Sony XBA-4 Headphones To Deliver New Track

Written by John Ritchie on June 28, 2012

Sony has commissioned Melbourne-based electro wunderkids Midnight Juggernauts to re-record their 2009 track This New Technology to promote the new Sony XBA-4 headphones. Sound Engineer Byron Scullin worked with the Midnight Juggernauts to create a version truer to its first iteration and how they had originally envisioned it to sound; the new track is aptly named This Newer Technology.

Accompanying the song is a short documentary on the project that captures the re-recording process and follows the band and sound engineer Byron Scullin as they visit an underground cave to record interesting sounds that highlight the headphone’s quality.

This track has loads of layers and sounds that demonstrate the earbud features brilliantly. You can download this track for free from the Sony XBA site and use it to trial the sound difference on XBA headphones.
