Scottish five-piece Mogwai is all set to release a remix record consisting of tracks lifted from their seventh studio record, 2011’s Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will. The remix record will be titled A Wrenched Virile Lore, and according to Pitchfork, contains new renditions of Mogwai’s tracks handled by Xander Harris, Tim Hecker, Umberto, the Soft Moon, Robert Hamson, Justin Broadrick, RM Hubbert, Zombi, and Cyclob.

There is no official word yet on when A Wrenched Virile Lore will be released or the actual tracklisting, but in the meantime you can download How to Be a Werewolf, remixed by Xander Harris, in exchange for your e-mail address.

In other Mogwai news, the band was recently announced as one of the headlining acts for Green Man Festival, which takes place during August in Glanusk Park, Wales. Green Man Festival 2012 runs from August 16 (Thursday) til August 19 (Sunday) and boasts a very impressive lineup, featuring Van Morrison, Feist and The Walkmen.
