MONA FOMA 2014 Lineup

Logistically speaking, it might seem like a chaotic mess, but that’s exactly what organisers had in mind when they began brain storming a game plan for MONA FOMA 2014. The powers that be have today revealed the musical delights on display at the festival, providing 200+ reasons as to why you’ll want to get your ass to Hobart.

Curated by Brian Ritchie of The Violent Femmes and The Break as well as MONA senior curators Nicole Durling and Olivier Varenne, next year’s event will once again be an enlightening experience, exposing punters to sounds, sights and feeling that they may have never been exposed to previously. Some of these include a dancing robot, a free-styling philosopher, a prog-punk space opera, morning meditation and black metal with violins.

Once again, the festival has locked in a forward-thinking and progressive lineup. Sprawled across two stages will be upwards of 200 live acts including three orchestras spanning a total of 5 off-the-hook days with very little sleep. Culturally speaking, you’ll be hard pressed to find an event as loaded as MONA FOMA with pilgrims encouraged to explore the museum and the curosities of the oft neglected Hobart.
