Mono Announce New Album Release For September

Written by Mike Solo on June 22, 2012

Japan’s purveyors of ‘beautiful noise’ MONO will release their new album For My Parents on September 4, through Temporary Residence Ltd.

The album follows the 2010 live album Holy Ground, which saw Mono collaborate with the Wordless Music Orchestra and tour the project internationally, including a stunning performance at Melbourne International Festival last year.

The band’s last studio album Hymn to the Immortal Wind came in 2009 and further enhanced the band’s reputation for wordless melodic performances in the vein of Sigur Ros.
