More Jimmy Barnes National Tour Dates Announced

Jimmy Barnes has announced the second series of what will eventually be 30 tour dates across Australia, celebrating 30 years as one of Australia’s hardest-working rock and roll icons. The new shows will also celebrate the release of Barnesy’s latest collaborative studio effort, 30:30 Hindsight.

Last month, Barnesy announced an extensive string of shows for A Day On The Green, which will see him taking stages in picturesque wineries around the country, alongside The Living End and more. The Aussie legend will also appear as a special guest with The Rolling Stones in Adelaide.

These new dates coincide with the release of 30:30 Hindsight, which is available from Friday, 29th August. The album celebrates Barnesy’s decades-long reign as the king of Aussie rock and roll and revisits some of his biggest hits as collaborations with his favourite artists, including Keith Urban, Bernard Fanning, Shihad, Tina Arena, The Living End, Baby Animals, Jon Stevens, and more.

Music Feeds recently caught up with Barnesy to discuss the record. He explained that while his label originally suggested a tribute album to mark 30 years, he jumped at the chance to step in the studio with them. “Why would I wanna get all my favourite bands and not sing with them?” he said.

Having just recently shared stages with Bruce Springsteen and with thousands of performances under his belt, Jimmy Barnes is still a vital and dynamic live force. Tickets for these new shows go on sale from 9am AEST Wednesday, 13th August and stay tuned for more 30:30 shows soon.

UPDATE 15/07/14: Jimmy Barnes has announced two very special shows for Sydney and Melbourne audiences where he will perform two of his most celebrated albums, 1985′s For The Working Class Man and 1987′S Freight Train Heart, in their entirety, plus additional hits from across his extensive career.

Barnsey has has also added some dates to his already extensive 30:30 Hindsight Tour. He will now also play Darwin’s Botanic Gardens Amphitheatre as well as an extra show at Warragul’s West Gippsland Arts Centre. See the updated tour schedule below.

UPDATE 22/09/14: Due to ill-health Jimmy Barnes has postponed the first two shows of his upcoming tour. Rescheduled dates have already been announced. See the updated tour schedule below.
