Written by Toby Smith on March 4, 2009

Catch French electro sensation Mr.Oizo of Ed Banger Records fame, this Friday night at Ruby Rabbit. Supported by Gus Da Hoodrat, Mik Tha Menace and U-Go-B…

Mr. Oizo is the pseudonym of French music producer Quentin Dupieux. Dupieux is most famous for his electro track “Flat Beat”, which became a hit all across Europe in 1999 for being featured in a series of Levi’s jeans TV advertisements. A veteran of two widely acclaimed artist albums (Analog Worms Attack and Moustache (Half a Scissor), his most recent EP, Transexual, has hit the mark with Busy P’s taste-making Ed Banger crew, while his remixes for the likes of Kavinsky, Jamelia, Cassius, Scissor Sisters and Calvin Harris have caved minds worldwide! As if his DJ/producer accolades weren’t enough, Oizo released his first feature film, Steak, in 2007. Vive la Oizo!

Tickets go on sale 9am tomorrow morning (Thursday 5th March) exclusively from http://inthemix.com.au – $25 & b/fee. Strictly limited to 200 – be quick your chance to catch this intimate set with one of France’s greatest exports!
