Ghanian-born rapper Citizen Kay has been making waves since day one, first with his highly-acclaimed YES! EP, then with the single that cemented his reputation as one of the rising stars of Aussie hip-hop, Raise A Glass. Now he’ll be entering Music Feeds Studio for Music Feeds LIVE.
2013 was a big year for the young Kay, not only was he busy in the studio producing his novel beats, which channel everyone from Kendrick Lamar and Jimi Hendrix to Lupe Fiasco and The Sex Pistols, but he scored rave reviews at BIGSOUND and a coveted spot opening for Wiz Khalifa.
Kay will be appearing at the upcoming Push Over 2014 festival, but it won’t be his first outing on the festival circuit, having previously blitzed spots at events such as Groovin’ the Moo. The immense hype recently translated into Raise A Glass becoming the #10 most-played track on Triple J.
