New Album From Santigold

Nearly three years since winning NME’s Best Breakthrough Artist for her self-titled debut album, Santigold has announced that her next album is “nearly done”. She’s been busy working on the new LP with producer Pharrell Williams, as well as Diplo, Switch and Spank Rock. She has previously collaborated with Williams and Julian Casablancas on the song My Drive Thru written for Converse shoes.

Santigold recently made a guest appearance on Don’t Play No Game That I Can’t Win from the Beastie Boys album Hot Sauce Committee Part Two in 2011.

Otis Redding and Egyptian Lover are said to be some of Santigold’s influences for the album.

Santigold who is responsible for the hits L.E.S. Artistes and Lights Out, Say Aha is confirmed to be playing at this year’s Parklife Festival, hopefully she’ll treat Australian audiences to material from the new album.
