New Avenged Sevenfold Single To Soundtrack ‘Call Of Duty’ Zombie Slaughter

Avenged Sevenfold have once again teamed up with Activision and Treyarch to contribute a new track, Shepherd Of Fire, to the popular Call Of Duty franchise.

The latest instalment for the game, Call Of Duty: Black Ops II – Apocalypse, features a brand-new zombie challenge DLC known as Origins which has been synced to the brand-new single from Avenged Sevenfold’s forthcoming album Hail To The King

The track will be played out during the introduction sequence to the challenge, which will depict comic book illustrations created by lauded comic book artist Alex Ross whose lavish works have graced the covers of DC and Marvel Comics.

Creators have put a lot of thought into the final chapter of the game, which is the direct result of fan feedback. The downloadable content will be available from Monday, 27th August but, for the first while, will only be an option for Xbox 360.

The last time Avenged teamed up with COD, we were also offered a brand-new track, Carry On which provided the perfect mood to dominate noobs.

Hail To The King will be released in Australia Friday, 23rd August after an extensive period of teasing and drip-feeding from the band. We’ve so far heard the title track from the release, which their bassist says was inspired by 18th-century composers.
