New Clip Of Jack White Performing Acoustic In Alaska Could Be The Last We See Of Him For A Long Time

Jack White is taunting us from Alaska. The White Stripe has released a short clip of his recent performance in the US Eskimo state, which marked one of his final shows before taking a long hiatus from playing live.

The current Dead Weather (and Raconteurs?) member has neglected to tour Australia since his headlining set at Splendour In The Grass 2012, and has since released his solo album Lazaretto and announced work on two more acoustic albums.

But it’s unlikely we’ll get to see Jacky boy tour any of those Down Under, either, after announcing that he’s “taking a break from performing live for a long period of time”, following one final hoorah.

Late last year White played a series of special $3 concerts across the five US states where he had yet to perform, and one of those states was Alaska.

Flash-forward to now and the entire concert is set to be released on a live DVD especially for subscribers to his label Third Man Records’ Vault Package series, so Aussies can have one final taste of what they’ll continue to be missing out on.

Watch the clip of Jack White performing a snippet of his Lazaretto cut Temporary Ground live and acoustic in Alaska below, and wonder what you ever did to make him hate you so much.

Loving you ain’t easy, Jack.
