New Hadouken! Single Goes Viral With Full-Length Album On The Way

Hadouken! have proven their internet savvy in the lead-up to the release of their band’s new album, Every Weekend. In just 1 week, the clip for their latest single Levitate raked in 26 million views, acting as a powerful gee-up for the rest of the tunage contained on their record, set for release Monday, 18th March.

Already Levitite has some pretty impressive stripes on the board, landing top five of the US iTunes chart and in the top 20 of the Billboard charts in the wake of shifting 25,000 copies of the track online in the first 6 days. Impressive stuff. Hadouken! are being hailed as Britain’s biggest underground band, and despite the huge wave of support, have kept largely off the radar. They’ve only toured the US two times, back in 2007 – yet they still chart insanely high in the region.

The clip itself is the stuff of pure genius. Pieced together by the band in one of their bedrooms, the video is a cross section of the greatest feats of mankind that have happened to be caught on camera. Personal favourite: the dude chucking a triple backie on the BMX, though the skidoo backflip was pretty steeze.

Between now and 18th March, the band will also be releasing a remix selection of the single for the Levitate EP, which will arrive 11th March.
