New Metallica Track ‘Spit Out The Bone’ Leaks Online

Written by Mike Hohnen on November 16, 2016

UPDATE 17/11/16: Metallica are releasing music videos for every song on their new album today, and a couple of newbies have already dropped.

ORIGINAL STORY: Just a matter of days out from the release of Metallica’s highly anticipated new album Hardwire…To Self Destruct, a previously unheard cut from the album called Spit Out The Bone has leaked online.

So far, nothing official has been said about the track, however the leaked track (below) is the final track from the two-disc album, and comes in at a very, very Metallica-equse running time of 7:09.

Having heard the leaked track, it’s no surprise that there doesn’t seem to be any mass panic within the Metallica Camp; Spit Out The Bone might be the strongest reason we’ve heard so far as to why we should be pumped for the album. The current fan favourite from the recent batch of singles was easily Atlas Rise, however Spit Out The Bone makes Atlas Rise look like a warm-up jam.

There’s some Kill ‘Em All vocals, wailing that will give you goosebumps and Kirk doing what Kirk does — and considering it’s the album closer, Spit Out The Bone is a very strong indicator that Hardwired… will be everything we hoped and dreamed it would be.

Have a listen below, before it’s taken down.
