New Warped Tour Australia 2013 Sideshow Details Revealed

Written by Sarah Bella on August 13, 2013

That AJ Maddah just loves to give out the hot gossip on Twitter – and don’t we love him for it? The most powerful man in the Australian music industry and the brains behind this November’s return of the Warped Tour to Australia has dropped new info on sideshows from The Used and The Offspring.

As previously announced, sideshows will be for Perth and Perth only, as the City of Light ain’t getting any Warped action this time around. Unfortunately, Utah’s Sydney’s favourite sons The Used will definitely not be getting their sideshow on, with a fan tweeting Maddah with “hey AJ, any chance of The Used doing a side tour this year?” to which the promoter replied “None. Sorry.”

He did have some good news for all of you sandgropers, though, announcing that punk legends The Offspring are playing Perth – so you’ve definitely got that to look forward to.

Pop punk heroes Simple Plan may have joined the Warped lineup but they have previously confirmed they won’t be playing a sideshow. If you’re in WA, looks like it might be time to start planning a road trip.

Warped Tour kicks off on 29th November at Brisbane’s RNA Showgrounds, making its way through Coffs Harbour, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and finally Adelaide. Tickets start at $99 plus booking fee.
