A new small dive bar and venue named Chino’s Bar will be opening up in what is currently The Red Bar part of The Cambridge Hotel. Their grand opening will be on 11th January with a performance from Wollongong two-piece Mother & Son.
Entrance will be from the front Hunter Street doors and the bar will be closed off from the pub. According to Mess + Noise, the venue is the brainchild of Leroy Macqueen and Katherine Friend from local outfit Gooch Palms, who modelled Chino’s on the dive bars frequented during recent trips to the US.
The pub will host a variety of local, national and international bands from various genres, provide cheap eats for everyone (including vegans) and be a good vibes, relaxed environment.
You can find out more updates on Chino’s Bar Facebook.
