Next Slipknot Album Will Be Melancholy

Written by John Ritchie on November 4, 2011

Corey Taylor has stated that Slipknot’s band’s next album will completely dedicated to former bassist Paul Gray.

Gray died in his hotel room last May last year and although there are no immediant plans for a new album, Taylor says that it will happen soon.

Speaking with Billboard about the new Slipknot album Taylor said:

We know that everything we do on that album is going to be about Paul. It’s going to be very melancholy. It’s going to be a more saddened form of rage when it does happen, and it’ll be a whole path that we’ve never gone down before.

Slipknot will tour Australia in February 2012 on the Soundwave Festival Line-up.
