Nick Oliveri Faces Jail Time

Ex Queens of the Stone Age bass player Nick Oliveri is facing jail time after he was charged with four felonies following a standoff with a S.W.A.T. team last month.

Oliveri was arrested in August when he held his girl friend hostage for four hours at his home in L.A. They had fought the night before and she was returning to collect her things when neighbours called police after hearing shouting.

When police searched the house they found a fully-loaded rifle, cocaine and meth-amphetamines.

Now police have charged Oliveri with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with a firearm, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and one misdemeanor count of resisting, obstructing or delaying a peace officer.

If Oliveri is found guilty on all charges he faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in jail.
