Nine Inch Nails Add Robin Fincke To Line-up To Replace Eric Avery

Following bass player Eric Avery‘s departure from the band, Nine Inch Nails have today confirmed that long-time collaborator Robin Finck will be joining the industrial rockers’ tour line-up.

Frontman Trent Reznor released a statement via the Nine Inch Nails Tumblr page:

“I am proud to announce that the tour line-up now includes the incredible Robin Finck. The addition of Robin to the mix of players I’ve assembled makes this band incredibly powerful and versatile. We are deep in the rehearsal process and it feels exciting and great to be back at this. Lots of information, surprises and sweat headed your way. Stay tuned!”

He also took to Twitter to celebrate the good news, tweeting “It just didn’t feel like @NineInchNails without Robin Finck. Now it does”.

Finck last played with Nine Inch Nails on its 2009 tour and has worked with them since 1994, appearing on 5 of their studio albums. The band kicks off their 2013 tour at Fuji Rock in July. Avery, a founding member of Jane’s Addiction, left the band earlier in the week, saying he was “overwhelmed” by touring commitments, having just wrapped up a tour with Garbage.
