Nine Inch Nails Pre-Tour Studio Rehearsal Sessions Make Their Way Online

Not content with fan-filmed footage from recent live shows, Nine Inch Nails followers have dug into the depths of the internet as they search for more content, leading one particular Redditor to discover the preverbial holy grail of Nine Inch Nails content – recent recordings of the band’s rehearsal sessions for their current tour.

According to the Reddit post, one of the band’s production team happened to stumble across more than 2 hours of unreleased recordings of the band, captured back in June 2013 as they belted out the setlist for their then-upcoming tour dates.

As you’d expect, the tapes span every song performed on their return to the live stage coupled with plenty of restarts, do-overs and banter. So, just as you’d expect, it’s awesome. Worthy of note is the revised version of Sanctified, all sorts of bad ass.

After doing the rounds on the internet for some hours, the files have now been compiled into an easy to manage download, though unfortunately they’ve cut out the banter. You can download those versions of the files here.

You can count this as research for when NIN finally make their way to Australia, as Trent Reznor recently promised they would. The band’s forthcoming opus Hesitation Marks is released at the end of this week, Friday, 30th August.
