Norway’s Mikhael Paskalev Signs To Dew Process, Unleashes Single ‘I Spy’

Brisbane indie label Dew Process are getting set to introduce Scandinavian singer-songwiter Mikhael Paskalev to Australia, having signed the young Norwegian/Bulgarian and now unleashing his debut single, the captivating I Spy, upon us.

I Spy first attracted attention after Paskalev won a Best Unsigned Act award in his native Norway, getting the wheels in motion for the 26-year-old to be signed by indie labels like Communion in the UK and Mom + Pop in the US. The track also comes with a rather Risky Business-esque film clip – what better way to introduce yourself to Aussies than to don some Y-fronts, eh?

The track is undoubtedly the catchiest three minutes of folk-inspired indie you’re going to hear this week and the homage to ’80s Tom Cruise is strangely difficult to look away from. I Spy is out now via digital download through Dew Process.
