Odd Future Melbourne Sideshow Venue Changed

Melbourne’s Odd Future side show originally planned for The Palace will now be held at The Hi-Fi. The date for the show remains the same, Wednesday 1st February, and all tickets purchased for the original venue are valid for The Hi-Fi. They will still be on the Big Day Out 2012 tour (except Perth, Adelaide and NZ).

This will be the second time they visit our shores after a short visit for the Vivid Festival earlier last year saw them play sold-out shows at the Opera House.

Formed in 2007 with the infamous Tyler, The Creator at the head of the wolf pack, Odd Future is a collective of young, talented rappers, with ages between 17 and 25. Releasing numerous mixtapes and studio albums, all for free at the band’s website, they’ve caught the eye of the music media with their unique style and crazy shows.

The group’s energy, uncompromising lyrics and raw talent have ensured they’ve shrugged off the initial ‘Internet hype’ labelling. Their ethos is well-defined – either you’re in or out; for Odd Future or against it. And in that categorical way, it makes them the perfect rap crew for our time.
